We manage accommodation in Cambridge City and the surrounding areas. Our accommodation is:
- Good quality - we check all accommodation to make sure it is suitable - we work with landlords to make sure any problems are resolved both before and during the tenancy;
- Affordable - we manage a range of properties of differing size and prices, so even you are on a lower income we may have something for you;
- Well-managed - we have a dedicated team who can help you settle into your tenancy and support you if issues arise.
Please note that for some of the properties that we manage, we don't take direct applications - for these properties, tenants are referred to Townhall Lettings through a housing adviser at a local council. For all other properties, in order to make a direct application, you need to:
- be aged over 18;
- pass a credit check;
- provide satisfactory references;
- meet our affordability criteria;
- have a 'local connection' to Cambridge, South Cambridgeshire or Huntingdonshire;
- be able to prove you have the 'right to rent'.
If you are interested in applying, or have any queries, contact us today.
We are pleased to be able to offer new accommodation, managed through Townhall Lettings. The properties have been commissioned with the aim of helping local residents to access good quality private sector accommodation let at submarket rents.
The accommodation comprises of a mixture of one, two- and three-bedroom properties located within the Chesterton and Arbury areas of Cambridge. Please note that these properties are not owned by the Council, a Housing Association or a Registered Provider, but by Cambridge City Housing Company.
This is an innovative new Housing Company, wholly owned by Cambridge City Council, which has been set up to provide high quality intermediate rental homes: that is, homes for those with low priority for social housing but who may be struggling to pay private sector rents in Cambridge.
The company's properties are managed by Townhall Lettings and are let on Assured Shorthold Tenancies for one year which will be renewable annually.
